Climate

The average weather condition that occurs in a place over a long period of time

Temperature

Measure of how fast particles are moving

Precipitation

Condensed water that falls to the ground

Clouds

Condensed water/ice too small to fall to the ground

Humidity

Amount of water in air

Wind

Movement of air over the Earth’s surface

Jet Stream

Narrow, fast air currents found high in the atmosphere

Atmospheric Pressure

Measure of the force per unit of area produced by the particles of gas in the atmosphere

Low Pressure

Associated with cloudy, rainy, warm, and humid weather.

High Pressure

Associated with clear, sunny, and calmer weather

Biome

Large geographical area with a similar climate and specific abiotic and biotic components

Climatograph

Line indicates average monthly temperature, bars indicate average monthly precipitation
