“Half sunk,a shattered visage lies”
The verb-“sunk”suggests the statue had been left abandoned for years
The noun “visage”-suggests that his empire is dead and nonexistent as the statue of his face “lies” in a deserted manner.
The adjective “shattered”-broken no one has bothered to fix the statue which suggests the lack of care and interest people have for this king.
“Boundless and bare”
Alliteration-This emphasises that their is nothing left of the town.
The adjective “Boundless”- highlights the endless amount of emptiness this place contains.

Assonance-emphasises excessive levels of self-administration this king has.
Irony and hyperbole-Desires to be viewed as memorable by everyone as he believes he is worthy and the greatest. Therefore this reflects his narcissistic personality.
