Israeli armed forces pushed into Egypt towards their Suez canal. Britain and France were both on Israel’s side and were pro-intervention, which the US didn’t agree with because they were worried it would mess with Soviet relations

4 Kent state students were shot/killed by Guardsmen during a protest of the Vietnam War. A bunch of arguments/civil lawsuits about if the Guardsmen were actually under threat/if the shootings were justified

Group of white and African American civil rights activists that took bus trips through the south to protest segregated bus terminals

(Hart-Celler Act) outlawed the National Origins act (restricted immigration from the Eastern Hemisphere based on race) and discrimination against Southern/Eastern Europeans, and Asians.
Silent spring
A book by Rachel Carson in 1962, talks about the harm caused to the environment by using pesticides. Accused the chemical industry of spreading lies and the government blindly accepting them
