Transfiguration

• Jesus, Peter, James and John in a high mountain.

• He was transfigured – his appearance changed.

• “His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.”

• Moses and Elijah appeared, talking with Jesus.

• Peter offered to “put up three shelters” for each of them.

• But a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “ This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”

• The disciples heard this and fell facedown to the ground terrified

• As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus said, “Don’t tell anyone until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Elijah
