What was the impact of the war?

  • Britain got Canada from France and Florida from Spain

  • French gained sugar islands in the Caribbean

  • Because of French absence the natives were left with the British

  • Britain moved west so Natives fought back in revolts

  • Decided that natives could inhabit only land west (What they fought for) (Proclamation of 1763)

  • Settlers ignored proclamation

  • Set up for the revolution

  • British lost a lot of money (debt)

  • Taxes went up

  • Increased opposition against Britain

  • Treaty of Paris ended 7 years later
