Central nervous system
Includes the brain and the spinal cord, interacts will all processes in the body.
peripheral nervous system
Includes the rest of the bodies nerves, communicates between the body and the brain.
somatic nervous system
Part of the peripheral nervous system which governs voluntary moment.
Autonomic Nervous system
Part of the peripheral nervous system which is broken into parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems. It governs involuntary movements.
Sympathetic Nervous System
Fight or flight response
Parasympathetic Nervous System
returns our body to a state of calm homeostasis.
Homeostasis

Fight or flight response
allows the body to get energy reserves in order to fight off or run away from threats.
Reflex Arc
Basic form of reflexes, which is involuntary movement and impulses.
Sensory Neurons
Carrying sensory information to the CNS.
Motor Neurons
carrying instructions from the CNS to the muscles.
Interneurons
Neurons which are located in between the sensory, and motor neurons.
Efferent Neurons
They are motor neurons
Afferent Neurons
they are sensory neurons.
