Levator Scapula
Deltoid (Posterior, Anterior, & Middle)
Posterior: border of scapula
Anterior: acromion process
Middle: lateral part of clavicle
Pectoralis Major
Pectoralis Minor: deep to minor
Subclavius: runs inferior to clavicle
Serratus Anterior: can’t really see, connects 1st rib to 8th, assists in respiration
Platysma, most superficial
Coracobrachialis, deep to bicep brachii, sits on humerus, connects to chorocoid process, upper 1/3 of humerus
Biceps Brachii (Long head)
lateral
Biceps Brachii (Short Head)
medial
Brachialis, deep to bicep, lower 2/3 of humerus, assists in flexion of forearm
Triceps Brachii (Long head) connects to scapula
Tricep Brachii (Lateral head)
Tricep brachii (medial head) deep to all three
brachioradialis: extends into forearm, drinking muscle, connects humerus to radius, divides flexors and extensors
acromioclavicular: connects acromion process to clavicle
coracoacromial: connects coracoid process to acromion process
Coracoclavicular: Connects Coracoid process to clavicle
Shorter: trapezoid
Longer: Conoid
sternoclavicular: connects sternum to clavicle
Transverse Scapular Ligament: Covers supra scapular notch, very small
Labrum, cartilage that cushions humerus, lays on top of glenoid cavity
Sternal End, flatter end, articulates with sternum
Head, more medial, articulates with glenoid cavity
Anatomical Neck, goes around head of humerus
Surgical Neck, goes around head of humerus, below greater and lesser tubercules, where most fractures on humerus happen
Greater Tubercle, lateral, close to head of humerus, larger of the nubs
Lesser Tubercle, more anterior, close to head of humerus, smaller of the nubs
interubercular groove: Separates greater and lesser tubercles, where tendon of the long head of biceps brachii rests
Deltoid Tuberosity: Rough surface on lateral side of humerus, where deltoid inserts into humerus, begins just below surgical neck
Quandrangular space
Borders: Teres Major and Minor, Long head of Tricep, and humerus
Triangular interval
Borders: Teres major and Minor, long head of Tricep, humerus
Triangular space
Borders: Teres Minor and Major, Long head of Tricep, humerus
Deltopectoral triangle
***only one that a vein(cephalic) passes thru***
Radial Groove: Shallow depression that runs diagonally down posterior surface. Radial nerve and profunda brachii artery lie in this groove
green
Medial Epicondyle: Medial, Same side of head, bump that projects medially
Yellow
Lateral Epicondyle: Most lateral, bump that projects laterally
Green
Trochlea: Expands coronoid fossa, looks like bow tie
Red
Capitulum: Sits inferior to radial fossa
Coronoid Fossa: Sits superior to trochlea, where coronoid process of the ulna articulates w/ humerus
Olecranon Fossa: Posterior Side of humerus where olecranon fossa articulates w/ humerus
Radial Fossa: Superior yo Capitulum where radius articulates w/ humerus
