Personal remarks

Anyone circumcised must obey law and lose grace: Cannot be saved by both. Disappointed Judaisers have taken strength, but doesn’t believe they succeed. Reminds them he didn’t teach circumcision and insults Judaisers out of love for Galatians

Nature of freedom

Freedom allows us to serve others, not exploit them. Free from law, but justification teaches us to try to obey the law: Not freedom from morals.

Human nature

4 realms:

-Sex: Premarital, extramarital, unnatural

-Religion: Worshipping other gods

-Society: breakdown in relationships, envy, anger

-Drunkenness: Affects human behaviour

Spiritual nature

Produces 9 graces: : Love, joy, peace for God; patience, kindness and goodness for others; faithfulness, humility and self-control for ourselves. In X we put aside human nature and let HS control our lives

Support

If someone does wrong, we should intervene for their good. Shouldn’t carry burdens alone. Also give financial support to pastor.

Conclusion

Harvest analogy used in Gospels: Those who sow to flesh shall reap destruction, those sowing to spirit shall reap reward.
