Romulus

Sent down Tiber River and Raised by She-wolf, kills younger brother to be founder of Rome

Remus

Suckled by a she-wolf, and found by a shepard named Faustulus, who raised him. Helped his brother make a new city, Rome, but was sadly killed by his brother.

Horatiī

triplets from Rome chosen to fight against the Curiatiī of Alba Longa to stop the constant bloodshed, during the fight two of the Horatiī are immediately killed and the last pretends to flee but turns back and kills all of the Curiatiī

Curiatiī

set of triplets representing Alba Longa and all three will killed in their defeat by the Horatii, they had lead and then the last Horatii decieved them and killed all three

Mucius Scaevola

thrusted his hand into a fire to show the Etruscan king his courage

Cloelia

Rescued her fellow female captives from the Etruscan camp and was awarded a statue to commemorate her courage and strength.

Horatius Cocles

fought on a bridge against the Etruscian's with two other soldiers, told the other troops to destroy the bridge while he and his two other soldiers were on it, after the bridge collapsed he swam across the Tiber and joined the other Romans.

Caracalla

a cruel tyrant, murdered his co-emperor, paid the praetorian guard a lot because every time he did something bad he had to keep them content

Diocletian

son of two slaves that rose through the ranks; split up emperor's power

Caesarēs

Galerius and Constantius, generals under maximian and diocletian, would succeed him to emperor if they died

Augusti

Highest rank of power when Diocletian created new style of rule

Constantine

Once more brought the roman world under the rule of one emperor. Son of Constantius the Caesar.

Julian

was a Christian, however he tried to bring back the old gods, called the Apostate, did not persecute the Christians like other emperors, and defeated the Persians many times

Theodosius

Spaniard who drove out the Goths, last emperor to rule over the whole empire, married the sister of Honorius, founded the Gothic Kingdom

Romulus Augustus

The last emperor of the Western Roman Empire after it was taken over by the Gauls

Justinian

Emperor of the Eastern Empire and ruled over Rome and Constantinople. Typically called the last "Roman" emperor.

Attila the Hun

433-53, king of the Huns, they burst into Europe, worst enemies Rome ever had, attacked Gaul and was at last defeated at the battle of Chalons in 451 by an army of Goths and Romans under the command of the Roman General Aetius, died two years afterwards and Huns fell to pieces as the army was only gathered round by their leader
