What is used in the primary sector, and give examples of the types of business.

The primary sector is where businesses use the land and natural resources as raw materials.

Farming, fishing, forestry, mining, extracting oil and gas, hunting and gathering, and packing and processing raw materials

What is done in the secondary sector and give examples of the types of business.

People use raw materials from the primary sector to process or manufacture things people can see.

Factories can be found just outside towns

For example: food and drink factories, textile factories, and chemical plants

Businesses offer services to the public.

For example: schools for education services, hospital for health care services, banks for money management services, law firms and courts for legal services.
