Q4 P4 set concept
The tree is made of a hollow plywood cylinder with expandable foam to texturize it, painted in a bark-like texture in shades of brown & moss green using the stippling technique. A circular steel base with roots pointing down would be possible by spraying expandable foam onto it and carving root-like shapes into it, and the tree is weighted for safety. There are a variety of 2 to 7-cm-in-diameter plywood hollow cylinders which resemble branches that are attached to the ‘trunk’ by toenail joints for structural support. Thin fabric fallen leaves also rest there to hide it.
