Colonial citizens: These citizens were free and normally used slaves to do the difficult tasks for them.

Slaves: Worked for the citizens. Normally worked long hours and didn’t get paid.

King Philip’s War

Started by the colonists, this war was branched off of the Pequot War. They killed so many Indians that they could not maintain their land or way of life. Colonies expand because of the wars.

Bacon’s Rebellion

Raided the wrong Indians with the goal to take land, but was unsucceful because they had made an agreement they would no longer raid or take land. In the end, they ended up burning down their own city.

Lower: tended to being servants and slaves
