Apply vinegar
Pour household vinegar over the affected area for at least 30 seconds to deactivate the stingers
Soak in hot water
immerse the affected area in hot but not scalding water for 25 to 40 minutes
Apply anti-itch cream
once the pain has eased, you can apply hydrocortisone or antihistamine cream to help with itching and irritation
Do not rub
avoid rubbing the sting, as it can also trigger more venom release
