the 4 moods of sentences

  1. indicative: this mood is used for making statements of fact, expressing opinions, or asking questions about reality. Examples: "The sun is shining," "I think it will rain," "Is it cold outside?" 

  2. imperative: this mood is used for giving commands, instructions, or making requests. Examples: "Close the door," "Please be quiet," "Go to the store."
