Lake Lanao
second-largest lake in the Philippines and the largest in Mindanao, it is home to 18 unique cyprinid species found nowhere else on Earth. Surrounded by the highlands of Lanao del Sur and Maranao communities, the lake is a vital ecological, cultural, and hydropower resource for the region.
Marawi Grand Mosque
Officially known as Jameo Mindanao Al-Islamie Islamic Center, is the largest Islamic worship site in the Philippines, with three floors and a basement totaling 9,484 m2, accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers-nearly twice the size of the Cotabato Grand Mosque.
Maguindanao Del Norte (Datu Odin Sinsuat)
Located in northern part of the former Maguindanao. Terrain includes river plains (Pulangi and Mindanao Rivers), lowlands, and some rolling hills.
Communities are centered around river settlements, with strong local governance and Islamic traditions.

The Grand Mosque of Cotabato
Also known as the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, it was named after the Sultan of Brunei who helped finance its construction.
Mt. Minandar
derives its name from a local term meaning "start of rumbling sounds," after seafarers reportedly heard echoes from its peak. Rising 1,464 feet, it offers views of the Grand Mosque, Timako Hill, and the shores of Kusiong and Tapian, with trails featuring deep ravines, gorges, and lush rainforest. Opened to the public in 2016, it is also a sacred home to the Teduray people
