Central tendency

A central or typical value in a dataset, often represented by the mean, median, or mode.

Variability

The extent to which scores in a dataset differ from each other.

Distributions

How data is spread out or arranged in a dataset.

Quantitative

Relating to or involving measurement or numerical values.

Comparison

Evaluating the similarities and differences between two or more items.

Statistical inference

The process of drawing conclusions or making predictions based on data analysis.

Arithmetic Mean

The average value obtained by dividing the sum of all scores by the total number of scores.

Median

The middle value in a dataset when arranged in numerical order, or the average of the two middle values for an even number of scores.

Mode

The value that occurs most frequently in a dataset.

Sensitivity

The degree to which a measure is affected by extreme or outlier values.
