Molecular Formula
Gives the chemical makeup of one molecule without showing how atoms are connected. Example: C₂H₆.
Structural Formula
Uses lines to show shared pairs of electrons between atoms. Example: H-H.
Electron Dot Formula
Uses dots to represent shared pairs of electrons. Example: H: H.
Single Covalent Bond
Involves two shared electrons between atoms.
Double Covalent Bond
Involves four shared electrons between atoms.
Triple Covalent Bond
Involves six shared electrons between atoms.
