Reversible reaction

A chemical reaction where the products can react back into the original reactants

Equilibrium

If a reversible reaction occurs in a closed system, when the rate for forward reaction equals the rate of the backward reaction, the concentration of all components in the reaction remain the same

Backwards reaction

The reaction that goes to the left

How is ammonium chloride a reversible reaction

Ammonium chloride breaks down into ammonia and hydrogen chloride when heated. when it is cool enough they react together to form ammonium chloride.
