DDOS

Denial Of Service Attack; occurs when a server is flooded with requests and is unable to handle too many at the same time.

Zombies

Devices that have been remotely accessed undetected and are used in DDOS attacks.

Advance-fee Fraud

A scam that asks someone to pay for something without a guarantee of a return, often appearing 'too good to be true'.

Scam Baiting

The act of trying to scam the scammer; this is illegal.

Phishing

Pretending to be a trusted organization to obtain sensitive information by targeting a large number of people.

Pharming

An attack that modifies a local DNS server’s configurations to redirect users to fake websites, even if they enter the correct URL.
