USCB Establishment (1795)
The year the South Carolina General Assembly voted to provide for a college to be established in Beaufort.
USCB as a two-year regional campus (1959)
The year USCB became a two-year regional campus of the USC system, with an enrollment of 82 students.
USCB as a full four-year comprehensive university (2004)
The year USCB became a full four-year university in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, with Jane T. Upshaw as its first Chancellor.
Beaufort Honors College (2018)
The year USCB launched its Honors College with specializations in Nursing, Biology, and Lowcountry Studies.
First Graduate Program at USCB (2019)
The year USCB launched its first graduate program, an M.S. in Computational Science.
Second Graduate Program at USCB (2020)
The year USCB launched its second graduate program, an M.Ed. in Literacy, and expanded its Honors program.

The name of USCB's mascot, named in 2015.

The three locations of USCB: Bluffton Campus, Hilton Head Campus, and Historic Beaufort Campus.
