Function of MAIN MOTION
(“I move to…”) A declarative statement used to bring up a new topic/idea for discussion.
Function of AMENDMENTS
(“I move to amend the resolution by…”) Allows the ability to add, insert, or strike out.
Function of POST DEFINITELY
(“I move to postpone this topic until the next session.”) Used to discuss later or talk about the main motion during the next business session.
Function of POSTPONE INDEFINITELY
(“I move to postpone this resolution indefinitely.”) Used to postpone for an indefinite period of time, instantly kills the resolution.
Function of DIVISION OF ASSEMBLY
(“I call for a division" or "DIVISION!”) When there is an unclear majority vote; this will require a ⅔ majority vote to decide the motion’s outcome.
Function of PREVIOUS QUESTION
(“I move to the previous question.”) When the discussion has become repetitive and is counter-productive, this statement stops the debate and calls for an immediate vote.
Function of LIMIT/EXTEND DEBATE
(“I move to limit/extend the debate to…”) Used to lengthen or shorten debate time, if the chair allows it.
Function of POINT OF INFORMATION
To state information to contribute to the topic.

To ask a question about parliamentary procedures.

Former members of AAS or SW who were asked to continue their service to Society based on their outstanding performance as members.
Difference between Silver Wings NACs and AAS NACs
SW NACs are usually civilian professionals while AAS NACs are typically active-duty AF officers.
