Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE)
A way to measure the effort level of activity; how hard you feel your body is working.
Resting Heart Rate
The heart rate when a person is awake, in a neutral environment, and has not been subject to any recent exertion or stimulation.
Target Heart Rate
A range of heart beats per minute (bpm) that reflects how fast your heart should be beating when exercising to achieve a specific goal.
Strategies
A general plan to achieve one or more long-term or overall goals.
Success Criteria
Standards used by students to make judgments about the quality of performance and determine progress toward learning goals.
Engagement
Measure of a student's level of interaction with others, plus the quantity and quality of effort directed toward activities.
Cardiorespiratory Endurance
The ability of the heart and lungs to deliver oxygen to working muscles during continuous physical activity.
Muscular Strength
The ability to exert a maximal amount of force for a short period of time.
Muscular Endurance
The ability to exert force repeatedly over an extended period of time without getting tired.
Flexibility
The range of motion of muscle and connective tissues at a joint or group of joints.
Max Heart Rate
The highest number of times your heart can safely beat per minute during physical activity.
Intensity
A subjective measure of how hard physical activity feels to you while you're doing it.
Body Composition
The percentage of fat, bone, and muscle in the human body.
