Describe how chronic stress can lead to cardiovascular disease. (paragraph)

When chronic stress occurs, the body is always in a form of fight or flight. This means the body is constantly releasing cortisol and adrenaline. This leads to constant high heart rate levels, increases in blood sugar, and adds strain to the heart. Additionally, your body starts to store more fat because cortisol levels are high. High cortisol can lead to hunger because onne’s body may think they need more energy to sustain the high heart rates and blood sugars and this leads to more fat being stored.

Physical symptoms are the state of your body and the condition that your body is in. An example is body can feel tired. Headaches, tight chests, nauseated, muscle tension, stomach pains, and inconsistent sleep patterns.

External is one cause of stress: This is origins from outside your control. Some examples are school, work, friends, family, environments, sports.

Internal is the other cause of stress: Self inflicted stress. Some examples is always seeking for perfection, negative talk, and overthinking.
