Latin Grammar Schools

In every community of 50 households, a follow up of the Satan Law, taught ABC’s, numbers, and Lord's Prayer, taught by men.
District Schools
Each school had its own district, paid for by the town, attendance was required but not enforced, some schooling was given to each child.
Carnegie Unit
comparable to our modern day high school credit, courses that lasted one year and meeting 4-5 times weekly would receive a carnegie unit.
