cells are the fundamental, self-contained units of life, and they are the building blocks of all living organisms

Nucleus, cytoplasm, mitochondria, ribosomes,, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, cell membrane,, microfilaments, centrioles, plasma membrane, peroxisomes, rough and smooth endoplasmic reticulum, nuclear envelope,

these are the batteries of a cell. they use oxygen, glucose, and fatty acids to release energy plus waste carbon dioxide gas

cell structure and function

while cells have different purposes, they all function in the same way. in all cells: exchange materials with their surroundings, break down sugars or fatty acids to produce energy, construct complex molecules from simpler building blocks, detect and respond to environmental signals, duplicate themselves, contain your genetic blueprint—DNA—within nucleus
