Stem cell
Type of cell that makes itself specialized to grow the body
All living organisms are made up of 1 or more cells
Cell theory 1
The cell is the basic unit of life
Cell theory 2
All cells come from preexisting eggs
Cell theory 3
Prophase(1st stage)
Chromatin(DNA) become chromosomes(double copy)
Nucleus starts to break down
Centrosomes start to form and spindle fibers from the centrosomes
Metaphase(2nd stage)
Sister chromatids line up in the middle of the cell
Centrosomes move to the two opposite sides of the cell perpendicular to the sister chromatids
Spindle fibers form out and attach to the centromeres
Anaphase(3rd stage)
Chromosomes are pulled apart by spindle fibers into individual sister chromatids
Telophase(4th stage)
Nucleus in each cell begins to reform(nuclear membrane, nucleus, etc…)
Single copy chromatids(DNA) start to unwind back into chromatin(spaghetti)
Two daughter cells begin to form
Cytokinesis(final stage)
The other organelles of the cell that are not the nucleus are divided among both cells to be fully regenerated in their individual daughter cells
Chloroplasts and cell walls
What is organelles do plant cells have that animal cell do not?
Centrioles, centrosomes and lysosomes
What organelles do animal cells have that plant cells do not?
