User Interface
The software components that allow users to interact with a device (buttons, menus, voice commands, etc.).
Interface features
Items that a user can interact with within an interface.
Desktop
A computer display area that represents objects similar to a physical desk (documents, folders, tools, etc.).
Menu
A list of options for the user to choose from.
Submenu
A secondary menu that is part of another menu.
Dialog box
A small window that communicates information to the user and prompts a response.
Toolbar
An interactive GUI element typically at the top or bottom of the screen, giving quick access to apps, settings, and tools.
Icon
An image on the screen that represents an application.
Scroll Bar
A control used to view hidden content by scrolling; horizontal scroll bars move left/right, vertical scroll bars move up/down.
