What is a hypothesis?

An educated guess

experiment in which only one variable is changed

any factor in an experiment that can be changed or tested.

What is an independent variable?

factor in an experiment that a scientist changes

What is a dependent variable?

The dependent variable is the variable that is measured

What is a fixed variable?

variable that does not change

What is a control?

An experiment that you compare your results to

What is an observational experiment?

a study where the researcher does not control any variable, but observes as they naturally exist.

What is modelling?

Models are used to carry out experiments that can't be carried out in real life

What should a reliable method be like?

It should be reproducible and repeatable.

What is data?

The information, measurements or observations gathered in an experiment

quantitative or qualitative
