Bioaging
The process of aging that leads to vulnerability to stress and injury.
Osteoporosis
A condition characterized by the thinning of bone, particularly common in postmenopausal women, leading to an increased risk of fractures.
Alzheimer Disease
The most common cause of dementia, characterized by disrupted cell transport and extracellular deposits in neurons.
Fluid and Electrolyte Imbalance
A state where there is an abnormal level of fluids and electrolytes in the body, often arising from altered metabolic processes due to aging.
GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate)
A measure of kidney function that decreases with age, affecting the body's ability to filter waste from the blood.
Impaired Mobility
A decline in the ability to move freely which can lead to falls and other complications in the elderly.
Cellular Changes
Alterations at the cellular level due to aging, resulting in impaired function and increased susceptibility to disease.
Cumulative Cellular Damage
The gradual accumulation of damage in cells over time, significantly influenced by genetic factors and environmental stressors.
T-cell Function
Refers to the performance of T-cells in the immune system, which declines after age 50, affecting the immune response.
Mental Status Changes
Alterations in cognitive functions such as memory and perception which may occur due to aging.
