Circulatory system
Transporting oxygen, nutrients, and hormones to the body’s cells, removing waste like carbon dioxide
Digestive system
Break down food into nutrients that the body can absorb and use for energy, growth, and repair, while also eliminating indigestible waste
Endocrine system
Creates and releases hormones to maintain countless body functions (growth, metabolism, mood, sexual function, and reproduction
Excretory system
Remove waste products and excess substances from the body, maintaining internal balance
Integumentary system
consist of skin, hair, nails , and glands, serves at the body’s protective outer layer, acting as a barrier a against pathogens and injury
Lymphatic system
keeps body fluid levels in balance and defends the body against infections
Muscular system
Producing movement, maintaining posture, stabilizing joints, and generating heat
Nervous system
body’s communication network, detecting information from environmental and internal organs, transmits signals to motor pathways
Reproductive system
produce offspring and ensure the continuation of species
Respiratory system
preforms gas exchange, brings necessary oxygen into the body and removes waste carbon dioxide
Skeletal system
provides support and shape to the body, protects internal organs from injury, enables movement and framework for muscles, stores minerals like calcium and produces blood cells in bone marrow
Urinary system
filter blood, remove waste products, excess water and electrolytes (producing urine) and regulate body fluids
Kidney function and structure
filter blood to remove waste, produces urine, and regulate blood pressure, electrolyte balance, they have a cortex and medulla and contains millions of microscopic nephrons
Ureters function and structure
They are paired muscular tubes that transport urine from the kidneys to the bladder by peristalsis which is a process of muscle contractions , has inner epithelial lining
Bladder structure and function
Hollow muscular and stretchable organ that serves as a reservoir for strong urine before it is expelled from the body through the urethra
Urethra structure and function
the tube that removes waste from the body, carrying urine from the bladder out of the body in both males and females
How the circulatory interacts with the urinary system
the urinary system filters your blood to get rid of waste and the circulatory system provides that blood to the kidneys allowing them to filter the toxins out
How the endocrine system interacts with the urinary system
The urinary system needs hormones from the endocrine system as they help control the urinary system like, Anti diuretic hormone which helps the body excrete less water in urine, Parathyroid hormone regulates electrolytes and minerals, Aldosterone helps regulate blood pressure in kidneys
