Matrix
Refers to blocking off sections in a schedule; used when provider will not be available or used for same day appointments
Flex time
Blocked off periods on schedule that can be used to return patient calls. refers to the practice of permitting work hours within a range of time.
Cluster scheduling
the scheduling of similar appointments together at a certain time of day or week; ex: Monday mornings for new patients
Double-booking scheduling
Two or more patients given same appointment time
Walk in/open hours
No scheduled appointment. Patients sign in upon arrival and are seen by the provider in that order
Single-booking scheduling
a method of scheduling in which only one patient is assigned to one block of time in a visit schedule.
streaming scheduling
Appointments are scheduled for a specific amount of time based on patient need.
Wave scheduling
Patients are scheduled for the first 30 minutes of each hour leaving the last 30 minutes for same day appointments
Modified wave
Same as wave except patients are scheduled in 10-20 minute intervals in the last 30 minutes

Never erase entry, write letter C next to name or draw a single line through entry
