William, Duke of Normandy finds out about Harold’s capture by Count Guy. He goes and demands Count Guy to let Harold go.

The day of Edward’s funeral was Harold’s coronation day. During that day, commoners notice a Halley’s Comet representing bad was to come.

William finds out that Harold is now king of England, breaking his pledge to William.

After reaching England, he has a big feast to prepare an attack on Harold. Then, he goes ahead to burn down a castle to create way for his knights.

William’s relative, Bishop Odo blesses him for the battle.
What was the event of the battle that the Anglo-Saxons caused?
The Anglo-Saxons had used a shield-wall formation, that was able to withstand against the charges of the Norman knights.
What was the event in the battle that the Normans caused?
The Normans had come to the battle on horses. The power of the horses allowed them to charge through open ground using a lance (weapon) to go through a shield stabbing an Anglo-Saxon soldier.
During the battle, what apparently happened to William?
As the shield wall was too strong for the Normans, William faked his death and commanded his soldiers to retreat. Because of that, many ranks of the Anglo-Saxon broke the shield-wall to chases the Normans down. William revealed that he was still alive. After that, the Normans began to kill the Anglo-Saxons. At the end, the William and the Normans won the Battle of Hastings.

William brought the feudal system to England. Consisting of levels of the church, ruler, nobles, knights, merchants, and peasants.
After the battle, what happened to the Anglo-Saxon language?
The English the Anglo-Saxons spoke were replaced with Latin in writings and law.
