Limitation - Aggression may not be Cathatic

• Frustration aggression model states that once aggression caused by frustration is carried out , it reduces the drive to be aggressive

• However SLT says as it says mediational processes once we have produced the aggressive act it increase likely hood of being aggressive again.

• Meaning that the general assumption of frustration aggression model may be invalid

Limitation - Researched used is gender bias

• The research by Green supporting the frustration aggression model only uses male university.

• Green et al here used Androcentrism bias as he used a male sample and suggested that all of us respond to frustration in the same way

• This reduces the external validity of his findings as it means we cannot apply his findings to everyone.

Limitation - lab studies

• Lack of mundane realism

• Meaning we can not make assumptions about aggression in real life

Limitation - link between frustration and aggression is complex

• Frustration doesn't always link to aggression and aggression can without Frustration

• Meaning the link is not automatic

• Someone who is Frustrated may react in different ways

• Someone action aggresivley may be for different ways

• Meaning this model only explains aggression in certain situations
