Oncoprotein Op18 (Stathmin)

Destabilizes MT and enhances β-tubulin hydrolytic activity. It also sequesters free dimers.

XKCM-1 and Kin-13

Bind to MT and bend the (+) end favoring release in this side and (-). They decrease the affinity of protein by MT.

Katanin

Severs MT through ATP hydrolysis. Releases MT bound to MTOC.

+TIPs

Accumulate at (+) ends and target growing but not shrinking MT.

EBs (end-binding proteins)

Cap +TIPs, modulate MT length and protect against catastrophes. Attach MT to chromosomes or membranes.

Plectin

Binds MT to other cytoskelletal structures.

Kynesin-I

Motor protein that transports cellular cargo along microtubules, primarily toward the plus end of the filament.

Dynein

Motor proteins that move cellular cargo along microtubules toward the minus end, playing key roles in intracellular transport and cell movement.

Caldesmon

Myosin binding site blocking + contraction and strenghtening of F-actin.
