Ethnocentrism

The belief  that one’s own culture or ethnicity is superior to others.  (1750-1900) — common during Europe yet WORLD WIDE.

Secular

Belief or system not based on religion or religious authority. e.g. Governments/institutions/ individuals

Xenophobia

Fear or hatred of foreigners or outsiders.  e.g. native populations or nationalist groups

Syncretism

The blending of different religion or cultural traditions

Proselytize

To attempt to convert others to a religion. e.g. missionaries and religious groups
