skipping breakfast: blood sugar levels, leads to insufficient supply of nutrients to brain → brain degeneration
overeating: causes hardening of the brain arteries → decrease in mental power
smoking: causes brain shrinkage → may lead to Alzheimer’s
high sugar consumption: interrupts the absorption of proteins & nutrients causing malnutrition & may interfere w/ brain development
air pollution: brain is largest O2 consumer in body, inhaling pollutants decreases supply of O2 to the brain, bringing a decrease in brain efficiency
head covered while sleeping: increases concentration of CO2, decreases concentration of O2 that may lead to brain damaging effects
working brain during illness: decrease in effectiveness of the brain, damage to the brain
