Is a port but a woman so not allowed to publish anything likes a man and start to be consumed by him but then realises she has to choose either him or her poetry and decides to let go of the man and breaks free form him and uses lots of natural imagery to convey this

Two people writing letters to each other one person lives in the city and the other in the countryside not romantic but obviously they mean a lot to each other and enjoy writing to each other

A farmer has picked his bride but she is very young and is timid and afraid of everyone compared to an animal of prey a lot

She tries to run away multiple times but is unsuccessful

The farmer wants children yet doesn’t have them and it ends on a note that the bride may be about to be raped

Father is remembering son going to school for the first time and is a difficult memory for him and cannot forget it

Animal and space imagery used to coney how neither son or father is quite ready to let go and the imagery shows how they must let o of each other and how it is a natural process

A man remembers how his parents were before they were unwell but now he’s remembering then as if they share in heaven

He is unsure about death and somewhat confused

Lots of religious imagery even in the title as it sounds like the garden of Eden

Parents seem to mis him as they set out things for him

Son is taking août his childhood and how strong and capable his father was and remembers blow he wanted to be just like him

Then there is a cyclical structure as the son grows up and is now capable but has not chosen to live his life as a farmer now the father is the incapable one

Measurements are used to show the new distance between mother and son and how one of them has to give more space as they grow up

Big distances show how son is somewhat scared and nervous for new chapter but knows he has to do it
