Clavicle
A long bone that connects the arm to the body, commonly known as the collarbone

Acromial End of Clavicle
The lateral end of the clavicle that articulates with the acromion of the scapula, flattened

Sternal End of Clavicle
The medial end of the clavicle that articulates with the sternum, rounded

Scapula
A flat, triangular bone that forms the back of the shoulder and connects with the humerus at the shoulder joint

Spine of Scapula
A prominent ridge on the posterior surface of the scapula that separates the supraspinous fossa from the infraspinous fossa

Acromion
The lateral extension of the spine of the scapula that forms the highest point of the shoulder and articulates with the clavicle

Glenoid Cavity
The shallow socket in the scapula that articulates with the head of the humerus

Medial Border of Scapula
The edge of the scapula that is closest to the vertebral column, providing attachment for muscles, smooth and rounded

Lateral Border of Scapula
The edge of the scapula that is furthest from the vertebral column, providing attachment for muscles and is typically thicker

Superior Border of Scapula
The upper edge of the scapula that provides attachment for muscles and is often smooth

Superior Angle of Scapula
The angle formed by the junction of the superior and medial borders of the scapula, serving as an important landmark for muscle attachment

Inferior Angle of Scapula
The angle formed by the junction of the medial and lateral borders of the scapula, significant for muscle attachment and scapular movement

Body of Scapula
The main flat portion of the scapula, providing surface area for muscle attachment
Suprascapular notch
A notch located on the superior border of the scapula before the coracoid process

Coracoid Process
A hook-like bony projection on the lateral edge of the superior anterior portion of the scapula, stabilizes joint

Supraspinous Fossa
Superior posterior concave area of the scapula above the spine

Infraspinous Fossa
Inferior posterior concave area of the scapula below the spine

Subscapular Fossa
Concave area on the anterior surface of the scapula
