Components
Human-made or natural; parts included in a system.
Process

A resource that is vital for the survival of the planet; Earth has a fixed amount.
Water in the Human Body
Helps regulate temperature, supports organ systems, and is used in all cells, organs, and tissues.
H₂O

A substance in nature with additives and contaminants.
States of Water
Liquid water has particles that move freely; ice particles are held closely together and vibrate; water vapor particles are spread apart and move quickly.
Celsius
Measurement scale based on the freezing and boiling point of water.
Temperature
Measurement of the average energy of all the particles in a solid, liquid, or gas.
Thermometers
Instruments that are used to measure temperature.
Melting
When a solid becomes a liquid.
Freezing
When a liquid becomes a solid.
Evaporation
When a liquid becomes a gas.
Condensation
When a gas becomes a liquid.
