Pure Substance
a single kind of matter that cannot be separated into other kinds of matter by any physical means
Mixture
when 2 or more substances combine yet retain their individual properties and can be homo or hetero
Homogeneous
the particles of the substances are mixed together (no clumping)

large clumps of the substances are mixed together
