Demonstrative Adjectives
Words used to identify or point out nouns, equivalent to 'this/these' or 'that/those' in English.
Ce
The masculine singular demonstrative adjective meaning 'this' or 'that', used before a consonant.
Cette
The feminine singular demonstrative adjective meaning 'this' or 'that', used before a consonant.
Cet
The masculine singular demonstrative adjective meaning 'this' or 'that', used before a vowel sound.
Ces
The plural form of demonstrative adjectives, used for both masculine and feminine nouns, meaning 'these' or 'those'.
-ci
A suffix added to a demonstrative adjective to indicate something that is nearby (e.g., 'this/these').
-là
A suffix added to a demonstrative adjective to indicate something that is farther away (e.g., 'that/those').
