mechanism of action
Acts as a local anesthetic on them mucosa of the urinary tract (not an antibiotic)
therapeutic use
Relieves burning, pain, urgency, & frequency related to urinary tract irritation caused by infection, trauma, & surgery
education
Do not take if client has kidney injury or chronic kidney disease
Changes urine color to orange & can stain clothes
Take with meals to minimize GI issues
Can cause dizziness, educate to rise slowly initially
Medications for TB 
Antimycobacterials: isoniazid, pyrazinamide, ethambutol, rifapentine
Broad-Spectrum Antimycobacterials: rifampin
Medications used to treat fungal infections
Antifungals: amphotericin B, keconazole, flucytosine, nystatin, miconazole, clotrimazole, terbinafine, fluconazole, griseofulvin
