What are the Articles of Confederation?
The first gov. after the revolution that was a loose association of states with no president

What are the CONS of the Articles of Confedaration
No central leader, no taxes, no ability to draft, unanimous decisions only
What were some of the problems that occured with the Articles of Confederacy?
People rushed into get foreign goods because they couldn't make them pay tariffs, high state taxes (Shays Rebellion), and Franklin (almost became a state but couldn't due to unanimous decisions only)
What was Shays Rebellion?
an uprising by farmers in western Massachusetts protesting mortgage foreclosures. They asked for help after and were denied by other states
What was the Great Compromise?
Plan at the Constitutional Convention that settled representation of big and small states; New Jersey wanted equal representation and Virginia wanted proportion rep. Connecticut suggested a house of Representatives, which is what they went with.

Calculated by adding up senate + house of reps. Votes all sent to electoral collage and they submit the vote that wins. Winner takes all system
