Extended Care (EC)
McKesson Medical-Surgical department that services post-acute care, home care, physician home delivery, hospice, DME, and HME customers.
Primary Care (PC)
Department that services doctor’s offices, clinics, surgery centers, urgent care centers, and hospitals.
JDE (JD Edwards, E1, 9.1/9-1, 9.2/9-2)
Main McKesson system for placing, modifying, and tracking orders; also used for stock checks and vendor/customer information.
Supply Manager (SMO)
Web portal for customers to view pricing, invoices, allocations, and track orders; often called “your website.”
Salesforce (SF, SFDC)
Platform used to log customer interactions, phone calls, account updates, and store internal knowledge.
RF Webpage
Webpage displaying real-time warehouse order status to determine if orders can be amended or canceled.
Distribution Center (DC)
Warehouse where orders are stored, picked, packed, and shipped; also called Districts, Warehouses, or Address.
Batch Builder
System tool that releases batches of orders to the warehouse approximately every 15–20 minutes.
Transportation
Department handling deliveries via McKesson trucks (Private Fleet) or third-party carriers.
ISS (Inventory Sales Specialists)
Team members who handle vendor purchase orders.
Inventory Support Specialists
Team members responsible for managing High Demand holds.
Account Manager (Account Rep / Sales Rep / Sales Manager / Field Rep / Rep)
Individual who manages and supports customer accounts.
Drop Ship
Order type where the vendor ships the product directly to the customer, possibly with extra fees and vendor contact.
Drop Ship (EC PHD)
Order type where McKesson ships directly to the patient; no vendor contact or extra fees.
Will Call Orders
Emergency orders that the customer picks up at the warehouse; require a 3-hour lead time and no pickups after 5 PM.
Local Same Day Orders
Emergency courier deliveries placed by 12 PM with a 3-hour lead time; service fee applies.
Blind Pickup
Obsolete term for returns without a contact person; now processed as a normal CO-Return.
Trunk Bin Orders
Orders for traveling nurses that must be placed on Supply Manager and include clinician/patient information.
Chux/Chucks
Customer slang for disposable underpads.
Alt Ship / T-Ship / Transfer Order
Order shipped from a non-default warehouse to fulfill customer demand.
