Xia Dynasty
The Xia Dynasty is considered the first dynasty in traditional Chinese historiography, existing from around 2205 to 1766 BCE. It is known for its legendary rulers, notably Yu the Great, who is credited with flood control and the establishment of dynastic rule in China.

Shang Dynasty
The Shang Dynasty succeeded the Xia Dynasty, lasting from approximately 1766 to 1122 BCE. It is notable for its advances in bronze technology, writing system, and the development of urban culture in ancient China.

Zhou Dynasty
The Zhou Dynasty followed the Shang Dynasty, reigning from around 1122 to 221 BCE. It is recognized for the introduction of the Mandate of Heaven concept and significant philosophical developments, including Confucianism and Daoism.

West Zhou
A division of the Zhou Dynasty that lasted from around 1122 to 771 BCE, characterized by significant political and cultural achievements.
East Zhou
The latter division of the Zhou Dynasty, spanning from 770 to 221 BCE, marked by fragmentation and the emergence of powerful city-states, leading to the period of the Warring States.
