tips: for reading and listening to get the point need to make sur ethat the verb f
- to get the point need to make sur ethat the verb form is existent/correct/ccurate
- dont do untargeted lifts - need to resons exaclty to the question
-make sure that your overall response actually makes sense - not just a jumble of french words
- excessive info can invalidate your mark - so even if the first bit is right - if then weite loads more for a 1 marker - might cancel the orginial point - as not succint
- CHECKING TImE, IS TIVE WELL SPENT! - at the end evn just for 5 minutes
- keep responses direcly to the point -but can use examples if supports it from the text
- dont add extra stuff to your reposne to make it fancy - like literally use words from teh text - or like dont use intensifies like its the best x - but just say its an x idk
- ensure that your answer/lfting is targated TO THE QUESTIon
- if its a two marker - or asks for two details - GIVE TWO DIFFERENT DETAILS/points - not just one with diff parts
- CHECK CAREFULLY IF HAVE TO WRITE IN ENGISH OR FRENCH - sovetives its in english so dont be tricedj - READ THE QUESTION AND DETAILS CAREFULY
- try and do complete sentences
- clarity of answer is important
- alsways try an answer/word instead of levaing it blank
advice part 2
- read the question carefully whith attention to the specific workds
- While lifting directly from the passage, it must be borne in mind that only targeted lifts are accepted.
- Manipulation is often required. •
- Where lifting is attempted from the listening passages, again, directed responses are credited fully, but faulty attempts to transcribe from the passage, without attention to spelling or grammar, could render the response incomprehensible.
- • All French offered needs to communicate in the comprehension questions. Verb forms can be credited only if they are existent. •
- The skill of inference is tested and candidates need to be aware of this demand when selecting information directly from the passage without reference to the perhaps nuanced demand of the question. •
- The order of elements rule means that only as many elements as there are marks available are considered. Candidates are advised to offer targeted responses
