What are all the 4 things that organisms need?
Water- help organisms carry out cellular activity , regulate temp. Nutrients- phosphorus building blocks for growth. A space to live- get food, water, shelter, often compete with others because space limits access. Air- O2 and CO2 photo synthesis and cellular respiration
What are the 8 characteristics of living things?
Cells, Homeostasis, Energy, Reproduce, Traits, Grow, Respond, Change
What is the difference between sexual and asexual reproduction?
Sexual- 2 parents, offspring has different genes. Asexual- one part, offspring is a clone of the parent
Why and how do organisms change over time?
Through natural selection, those with traits best suited for their environment will survive and reproduce to pass onto offspring
What type of energy do organisms obtain and use? And why?
ATP- Adenosine triphosphate. Powers daily function and repair/ replace damaged cells.
What is the difference between unicellular and multicellular organisms?
Unicellular- one cell, no nucleus, simple. Multicellular- more than one cell, nucleus, complex.
