frontal lobe
part of cerebrum - it helps control voluntary movement, ecpression, and language. cognition planning, and is the control center for personality, behavior and emotion.
parietal lobe
part of cerebrum, responsible for sensory perception and integration; interprets input from other areas of the body such as tast, hearing, sight, touch, and smell
temporal lobe
part of cerebrum, processes pain and auditory stimuli, emotions, and memories. it allows you to understand what uou hear, retain visual memories and process and remember emotions
occipital lobe
part of cerebrum, smallest love of brain, responsible for percieving, processing and remembering visual stimuli; allows to see color, size, depth, distance, and recognize faces and objects
cerebellum
known as “little brain”, involved in motor control, select cognitive activities, contains most neurons in brain, only about 10% of brain overall weight
brainstem
includes midbrain, pons, medulla oblongata,; involved in vision, hearing, motor control, alterness, tempurature regulation, breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure
