Dawes act
Teaching native-Americans to live their own “American dream”, it detach them from their culture and fit in with west settlers

U. S. Govt. set up reservations for native-Americans to stay, the govt. did it to protect them from Sooners, but in reality they did it to get them out of the way so the west can expand

50,000 of native-Americans settled in the unassigned lands, it violated the native-American treaties
