Dawes act

Teaching native-Americans to live their own “American dream”, it detach them from their culture and fit in with west settlers

Homestead act

Granted 160 acres of land for future settlers; encourages them to move out west, in a same time, native-Americans got displaced by govt. in order to achieve this goal

Railroad act

Build railroads for west settlers to make it easier to travel to west, built between Omaha, IO and Promontory summit, UT, with the extension to Sacramento, CA.

Indian appropriations act

U. S. Govt. set up reservations for native-Americans to stay, the govt. did it to protect them from Sooners, but in reality they did it to get them out of the way so the west can expand

Indian territory boundaries/land run

50,000 of native-Americans settled in the unassigned lands, it violated the native-American treaties
