Evidence
Information that supports or refutes a claim or hypothesis.
Natural Selection
A theory explaining the process by which species adapt and evolve based on environmental pressures.
Hypothesis
An explanation of a single event in nature that can be tested.
Law (Scientific Law)
A statement that describes an observable phenomenon and does not require an explanation, such as the law of gravity.
Theory
A well-substantiated explanation of phenomena, which has been tested and confirmed through multiple observations.
Quantitative Observations
Reliable measurements based on numerical data, such as measurements in centimeters.
Qualitative Observations
Subjective assessments that may vary based on personal perspective and are less reliable.
Repeatability
The ability to replicate the same results under consistent conditions in scientific experiments.
Selective Pressures
Environmental factors that influence which individuals survive and reproduce in a population.
Process of Elimination
A scientific method where one hypothesis is tested at a time to determine its validity.
